DATES to the 4th edition of the Harare international Carnival have been set amid indications of rejuvenated interest from both locals and international tourists towards the event.
Addressing a Sanganai/Hlanganani media conference, ZTA Chief Executive Karikoga Kaseke hinted that the 2016 edition of the Harare International Carnival would be bigger and better as it had mutated into a brand that many want to associate with.
“The 2016 edition of the Harare International Carnival will be held from the 15th to 18th of September 2016. The 2015 edition was a success and we are looking forward to hosting even a bigger Carnival this year,” said Kaseke.
The 2015 Carnival was according to ZTA, the biggest compared to other years due to a number of local and international acts that graced the Harare International Carnival.
The famous Samba girls from Brazil performed at the Private Lounge, While a Harare Jazz Festival, the Ragga-Socca Night, Congo Night and Carnival After-Party were part of the main acts.
The Harare International Carnival seeks to grow the tourism industry through cultural exchange and countries such as China, Nigeria, United States, UK, the DRC, Brazil, among others, are expected to participate.
