By Daniel Chigundu ZANU PF Presidential candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa won the 2018 harmonised election after garnering 50.8% votes against Nelson Chamisa’s 44.3%. Mnangagwa becomes the second President of the Republic of Zimbabwe following the ouster of Robert Mugabe in November last year through Operation Restore Legacy. According to ZEC, the Zanu PF candidate got 2 460 463 votes, while top rival Chamisa was close at 2 147 436.
