Japan’s US$14.8 million to feed 512.000 rural households

By Edward Mukaro JAPAN has pledged a further US$14.8 million to assist Zimbabwe recover from its current dire food insecurity conundrum, through the fund, which is expected feed 512.000 rural households, for six months. The funds will be disbursed through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Government of Zimbabwe (GoZ) will enable the WFP to procure and deliver approximately 25.600 metric tonnes of maize, by June 2020.
