Huawei P9 coming to Zimbabwe

HUAWEI Zimbabwe is set to introduce its latest mobile handset the Huawei P9 onto the local market starting this week, The Business Connect can reveal.

P9 which was launched in South Africa a few weeks ago is the latest offering from the diversified technology concern Huawei and comes in three varieties P9, P9 Plus and P9 lite.

Speaking to the media during the Huawei Zimbabwe road show 2016, training manager devices department Rutendo Muzari said the P9 has a lot of exciting features that should take the market by storm.

“The P9 among other features has a battery that can take you up to two days without charging, it has a double cameras that work simultaneously to produce one image. One camera is for black and white (monochrome) while the other one is RGB.

“It also has a professional camera and an amazing, powerful and fast fingerprint sensor unlike any other smart phone on the market currently, she said.

The Huawei P9 dual-lens method was co-engineered by Germany optics brand Leica and allows the P9 to take 250 percent more light than the latest Iphone and more than 70 percent of rival android flagships can.

According to the P9 review, when you snap a picture, one lens takes a traditional photo, while the other one snaps a monochrome (black and white) image. Because the later lens doesn’t have to worry about colours, it can take in more light and details. The phone then combines both photos to create a single photo.

The P9 is a 12 mega pixel phone in a league of its own, with unique features never seen anywhere in the world. The mobile device combines its unrivalled features with the latest android platform and Huawei cloud system; a new integrated platform that gives one the ability to track their device by logging into their account once they cannot locate it.

While the Mate8 had a swift finger print sensor, the new P9 comes with the third generation fingerprint unlocking feature which is much more accurate and faster to decode to help secure personal files and unauthorised access off the smartphone.

The P9 is a 5.2″ display with a Full HD screen running on a 3000mAh battery that can take you for days without charging.

The Huawei P9 is a sleek, light and seamless metal rectangle with perfectly smooth chamfered edges that feels absolutely solid in the hand and runs on Android Marshmallow powered by a Huawei Kirin 955 CPU.

Huawei has been making some strides on the local market and has distributors planted across every town in the country and its managing director Albert Yang has said his company is geared to create employment in the country through working with local distributors.
