Wife of Christian giant, the late Ezekiel Guti, Dr Eunor Guti, has shared her life in a book titled “Being Eunor” which was launched last Saturday.

Speaking to the media two days before the launch, Dr Guti said the book was entirely about her life inspired by young ladies who aspire to be like her in many spheres.

“This book is about me as Eunor Guti. The book ‘Wise Woman,’ (her other famous book) is about a woman who wishes to make her marriage a happy one. Now, that is different from this book which focuses on me,” she said.

Dr Guti said that her thirst was to enable the youths to fully understand how she has dedicated to save God. Now, at 81, Guti said it would be abdication of duty if she were to die without imparting the values of praying in the youths.

She said her favourite themes in the book were a passion for prayer and for saving God with all her strengths.

She also took time on how she is pained by issues of drug abuse among the youths that she feels parents should be active in educating children against such social ills.

“The issue of drug abuse should rest with the parents. It is the parents who should be at the forefront of fighting the scourge,” she said.

The highly esteemed preacher said she learnt the ropes of writing from her deceased husband.

“For the past 20 years, I was with my husband, and he taught me how to write. There were times when I served as his personal assistant, and he would wake me up, sharing his thoughts and ideas, urging me to put them into writing.

“My husband encouraged me to work hard and instilled in me a love for education. I began as a state registered nurse, but he sent me to various schools to pursue additional courses. With his unwavering support, I completed a bookkeeping course and obtained my degree,” she said in a wide-ranging interview.
